Fife Council has been shortlisted in three categories at this year’s Scottish Green Energy Awards.


The Levenmouth Community Energy Project, a partnership between the Council, Bright Green Hydrogen and Toshiba, has been nominated for two awards: Best Innovation Award sponsored by Red Rock Power Limited and Carbon Reduction Award sponsored by SmartestEnergy.


Fife Council’s Lead Officer for Renewables, Barbara Whiting has also been nominated for the Champion of Renewables Award sponsored by Vestas.


The Scottish Green Energy Awards is recognised as one of the highlights of the renewable energy events calendar and attracts more than 1,000 people to Edinburgh each year. The Awards celebrate the determination and innovation that have ensured the continued success of Scotland’s renewable energy sector.


The winners will be announced at the award ceremony held on 30 November 2017 at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.
