Fife Council will be holding a public consultation event and exhibition on Thursday 27 April 2017, 9:30am – 7:00pm, to provide information about its plans to construct a District Heating Scheme in the centre of Glenrothes, utilising low carbon heat from the RWE Markinch biomass plant.
The Council is seeking planning consent to construct the District Heat distribution network and is therefore inviting members of the public to find out about the proposed works.
We are keen to hear your comments on plans for the District Heating Scheme, any comments received will not constitute a formal representation to the planning authority. A planning application is to be submitted to Fife Council in due course and there will be an opportunity for interested parties to make formal representations directly to the planning authority.
